In a Facebook Live video on March 15th, Ben & Jerry’s announced a new limited edition flavor to be added to their ice cream line-up. The company has introduced the Gimme S’more variety ice cream. Now, we know what you’re thinking. Doesn’t Ben & Jerry’s already have a s’more flavored ice cream?

Yes, you are correct. However, Ben & Jerry’s has made this ice cream to taste more like that summertime treat we all love. The original S’more ice cream of Ben & Jerry’s is chocolate based. The original included chocolate ice cream along with fudge chunks, graham cracker and toasted marshmallow.

The new limited edition update of a classic now starts with toasted marshmallow ice cream instead of chocolate. Inside the new delicious treat, you will find bits of graham cracker swirls, chocolate cookie and fudge flakes. Talk about ice cream at its finest!

“The toasted marshmallow ice-cream base adds a new level and depth of flavor,” said the flavor guru of Ben & Jerry’s, Eric Fredette. In his position, Fredette has the responsibility of conceptualizing Ben & Jerry’s ice cream flavors. “We’re constantly looking at how we can take our flavors to the next level, and this was a great way to do just that,” he said.

This year has been a busy one thus far for Ben & Jerry’s. The company announced a new line of flavors in January that are truffle-inspired. The flavors consisted of Caramel Chocolate Cheesecake and Chocolate Shake it, along with two nondairy options as well. One of which is a Peanut Butter Half Baked flavor.

The company also added to their Pint Slices that were first released in February of 2017. The pint slices are hand held and resemble a round version of a Klondike bar. Additions to the product included flavors such as Tonight Dough and Cherry Garcia. The slices are “inspired by the very best part of the pint” and has all the swirls and chunks of the more popular flavors.
