Starting on June 20th this year, Summer is officially less than 3 weeks away. Let’s be honest, though, it already feels like it’s Summer here in Fort Collins. There is always fun events to go to throughout the Summer in Fort Collins.

Here are different events and activities that you can do throughout Summer this year:


Downtown Sessions Concert Series

Starting tonight, the Downtown Concert Series will be going throughout the entire Summer and on until October 6th. Located on Old Town Square Stage, there will be a diverse line up of Colorado musical acts every Friday night from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The concerts will feature beer service from local breweries and may also include food vendors. The Friday night concerts are FREE and open to the public.

Taste of Fort Collins

An annual three-day event, the Taste of Fort Collins benefits the Eyeopeners Kiwanis Club of Fort Collins Foundation in its charitable activities for the local community. The festival offers attendees many fun activities, delicious foods from different vendors/restaurants, a wide range of craft beers from local breweries and live entertainment from regional and international musicians. The Plain White T’s will will start of the festival the first Friday night starting at 6:00 pm.

The festival takes place at the Civic Center Park in Fort Collins from June 9th to June 11th. That means it’s only one week away! Buy your tickets on the event website.


Summer Splash

This year marks the 2nd year for the now Annual Summer Splash. The event is free and fun for the entire family. Taking place at the Old Town Square, there will be face painters, a Splash Pad, oversized coloring books and a lot more! Starting at 11 am on Saturday, June 10th, it is an event surely to be fun for the entire family. You can always head over to Taste of Fort Collins after the event ends at 2:00 pm.


Colorado Brewers’ Festival

This year marks the 28th Annual Colorado Brewers’ Festival! Start off by going to The Summit on Friday June 23rd before the festival actually begins. You can experience an evening of rare and one night only beers. You’ll want to buy your tickets now, though, only 500 passes are available for the event.

The festival itself begins the following day, June 24th and goes until June 25th. An award winning event, it will include more than 90 Colorado beers, more than 40 Colorado breweries and interactive tastings and demonstrations. Also featured at the festival will be some of Northern Colorado’s greatest musicians, vendors and food trucks.

While there is no admission charge, you will need a Tasting Package in order to sample the beers at the event. The package includes 10 tickets redeemable for beer and 16 oz “Go-Anywhere” beer glass. Buy your tickets earlier and save money!

Outdoor Move Night

The Downtown Business Association will be presenting weekly Outdoor Movie Nights throughout the Summer in Old Town Square. Starting on July 11th, the event will feature a new movie every week until  August 15th. The event is free and family friendly and will have free popcorn for the family. Below is a schedule of the movies being shown this Summer.

Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest

This annual 3 day festival is free and will happen in downtown Fort Collins. The festival will take place August 11-13 this year. The event will feature more than 80 Colorado bands which includes headliner performances all 3 nights. It is family friendly, including a family centered Kids’ Music Adventure and Kids’ World area and 250+ art, specialty and food booths.

NewWestFest begins Friday at 5 pm and will be open to the public at 10 am the following days. Find more information on the event on the festival website.
