Halloween In Northern Colorado 2017

It’s that time of year again. The time when we’re able to wear sweatshirts again and leaves change into beautiful colors before falling to the ground. The fan Fall favorite, though? Halloween of course!

If you’re anything like majority of people we know, you are preparing everything early and are trying to make the most of one of the most popular holidays of the year.

Below is a number of activities for you throughout the Halloween season.


Pick Up Your Pumpkin!

Harvest Farm, 4240 E. County Road 66, Wellington

This year marks the 15th Anniversary for the Annual Harvest Farm Festival. The Festival is open on weekends from 10 AM to 8 PM Friday and Saturdays along with 12 PM to 6 PM on Sundays.

The cost for adults (13+) is $15, $13 for children, free for children three and under and $10 for seniors. Reservations must be made for groups of 15 or more. If registering as a group, cost is $8 per person.

The festival includes a large a number of activities for the family including a pumpkin patch to pick out your pumpkin, a corn maze, hay rides, a petting zoo, a mini maze and much more. See the full list of activities and purchase your tickets.


Osborn Farm,1230 S. Boise Ave., Loveland

Stop by Osborn Farm to pick up your pumpkins for only 40 cents a pound. The farm is open daily until the end of the month from 10 AM to 6 PM. They even have hay rides for just $2 on the weekends depending on weather.


Something From the Farm, 8020 S. Timberline Road, Fort Collins

This farm has been family owned and operated for four generations by the Dory family. Entrance to the farm is free to pick through a number of pumpkins. Something From the Farm also offers hayrides and a corn maze at a cost of $7 per person. You can also stop into their country store which offers fall items, home grown popcorn, a selection of jams, cider, and snacks.

The farm runs Monday through Sunday from 9 AM to 6 PM until the end of October.



Get Spooked!

Creepy Walk in the Woods, 1750 Savage Rd., Loveland

Get ready for a walk that is nothing like the typical haunted house or corn maze. The walk begins at the base of Devil’s Backbone in what is called Savage Woods, west of Loveland. It is highly recommended that children under the age of 11 do not take part in the Creepy Walk in the Woods and pets are not allowed on the unguided tour.

The walk is available October 13, 14, 20, 21, 27 with gates opening at 6 PM and tours beginning at 7 PM. Cost to enter is $20 and NO REFUNDS are given to those who can not complete the walk. Children under the age of 11 are not allowed during the evening hours. Are you ready for the creepiest and scariest walk through the woods of your life?



Harrington Arts Alliance’s Haunted House of Horrors, 1601 N. Lincoln Ave., Loveland

Harrington Arts Alliance will be hosting one of its biggest fundraisers of the year in Loveland – the Haunted House of Horrors. Available dates for the HAAunted House of Horrors is as follows:

October 20th & 21st: 6pm-11pm

October 27th & 28th: 6pm-11pm

October 29th: 6pm-9pm

October 31st: 6pm-10pm

The cost to walk through is haunted house is $12 for children 10+ and $8 for children who are 9 and under.


Northern Colorado Jack Lantern’s Corn Maze of Carnage, 2318 S. Co Rd. 5, Fort Collins

The Corn Maze of Carnage will be open from October 6 until the end of the month. The maze will be available on Thursdays and Sundays from dusk until 11 PM along with Fridays and Saturdays from dusk until 10 PM. The price of admission for the corn maze and haunted hayride is $24. Children who are 14 and under have to be accompanied by an adult.

There are also group and daytime activities available. Group activities are for at least 15 tickets at $8 a piece for daytime activities and $20 a piece for the night time activities.

The daytime activities run between 11 AM and 6 PM. Included in daytime activities are a corn maze, farm animals, hayrides, pedal cars, sports field and jumping air attractions. Tickets for children 11+ and adults are $12, children 3-10 are $10, and free for children between 0-2. Military and Senior (65+) tickets are only $8.

Fort Collins Ghost Tour, Old Town Square, Downtown Fort Collins

An annual event for Fort Collins, you’ll have the chance to walk underneath Downtown Fort Collins as you walk through the town’s history. A popular event for the public, tour spots fill up rather quickly. There are a number of days still available to take a tour through not only the rest of October but the rest of the year. Reserve a tour spot today!


Family Friendly Events

Tiny Tot Halloween, Old Town Square, Downtown Fort Collins 

Bring the kids out dressed in their Halloween costumes for this family friendly event. The event is permitted for children under the age of 7 and accompanied by an adult. Children will receive a trick or treat bag and a map of areas to trick or treat downtown. A number of different companies will have booths set up in the square to hand out candy to the children.

The event is completely free and begins at 10 AM on Halloween Day, October 31.


Halloween Enchanted Garden, The Gardens on Spring Creek, 2145 Centre Ave.

An event put on by Kaiser Permanente, the Halloween Enchanted Garden completely transforms the Gardens on Spring Creek and takes place on Saturday, October 21 from 10 AM to 2 PM.

This event is planned especially for children 8 years old and under with a magical day to celebrate the Halloween season. The children can experience one of many activities throughout the day. Activities include all day magic shows, the Mad Scientist Experiment Zone and Reading Retrievers. The candy free event also has yard games, seasonal crafts and prizes for everyone. A day that is specifically planned for the kiddos, they can have a non frightening experience in their Halloween costumes!

Tickets are only $5 per child and are available to purchase online.


Old Town Halloween Zombie Fest, Downtown Fort Collins

The Old Town Halloween Zombie Fest is back for another year. The event will take place on Saturday, October 21 and begins at 5 PM with a Kidz Crawl for children between the ages of 2 and 12 running beforehand from 2 PM to 6 PM.

Also included with the Zombie Crawl is music, ice cream, restaurants, on-site makeup, flaming entertainers, the Thriller dance, halloween costumes of course, and much more!

Tickets are $16 in advance and cost $20 if buying tickets the day of. Tickets for the Kidz Crawl cost $12.
